All these areas (with light shading) are no different from the land surrounding them. That is uncadestered areas are cultivated. Among these plots occupied under soybeans, there is the territory of the fade away soviet pastures (Pic 1), hayfields of the villagers, as well as the former plots that performed land reclamation tasks. For example, in Pic 2, uneven round sections played the role of water accumulator. A rectangle in Pic 2 was a small forest belt protected land from weathering. Now, most of these reclamation areas are destroyed. The largest plot pic.3 in Soviet times was a pasture for collective farm herds. Thus, that is how political soy “ate” resources for the survival of the remaining “free” peasants.
